| Tend to be light to medium bodied with bright clean acidity, lively flavor and intense aroma. These coffees are best when drip brewed or made in a vacuum pot. | |
| COSTA RICA ORGANIC Our Costa Rica Organic hails from a grower's co-op located high in the mountains bordering the Monteverde cloud forest. This medium bodied coffee exhibitis an intense, citrusy acidity balanced by just enough fruity sweetness. A perfect jumpstart on a muggy day! | ![]() |
| LA MINITA COSTA RICA The word for this coffee is BALANCE. It is dead center medium bodied, with an elegant orange-peel acidity. Milder than the Costa Rica Organic, but still lively. Coffee from the La Minita Estate is meticulously prepared and undergoes strict quality control so it is probably the most consistent coffee we carry. | ![]() |
| GUATEMALA One of the fuller bodied Central American coffees, you can really detect chocolate in the aroma (think fine dry cocoa). The acidity is bright and sparkly with more of a floral than citrus tone. If you sip it black, you might taste hints of nutmeg and smoke. This is an Estate coffee (we can trace every bean back to a specific family owned farm) and is also BIRD FRIENDLY (lots of shade trees!) While not a certified organic, this coffee farm gets high marks for all sorts of innovative eco-pracitces. | ![]() |
| MEXICO ORGANIC The new crop of our favorite summer coffee has just arrived! This organic coffee is grown by the La Trinidad co-op in the Pluma region of Oaxaca, Mexico. The several hundred farms that comprise this co-op share a preference for typica, the flavorful heirloom variety of coffee that grows best at elevations over 4,000 feet. The 2002 crop possesses a richer flavor than previous years, with an aroma reminiscent of apple blossoms. A delicious coffee that is perfect for our sultry summer weather. | ![]() |
| FRENCH ROAST The flavor here is all about roast and nothing about origin. Why? Because when you french roast a coffee you generally mute its origin characteristics and create a brew that is smoky, carbony and bittersweet. Our French Roast has all those classic flavors dark roast aficionados love! | ![]() |
| NARINO COLOMBIA Narino is medium to full-bodied, mild and balanced. It is an easy to drink coffee that has just a little bit of walnut and chocolate in its aroma and flavor. Nothing huge going on here. It tastes good with cream and would be the perfect coffee to send to your grandparents! | ![]() |
